We had lovely stay at Ai Ghiselli! The apartment was clean and very well equipped. There were enough space for us parents and our daughter. The location was good, only 10-15 minutes walking distance from the old town (inside walls). The apartment had a safe parking place for a car. Also it was nice that there were three bicycles and cycling on the top of the walls was fantastic. All in all we really enjoyed and would definitely recommend this place! Hope that we'll come back someday!

Great accommodation, bikes were well used and very convenient way of getting into the city. I would recommend a morning bike ride along the walls for all visitors
Thanks for all the resturant recommendations, we weren't disappointed!
I'll be back Lucca...........

My fiance and I stayed at Apartment Ghiselli for the first week of our two week stay in Italy. It was our first time in Europe, and we had a great time in Lucca before continuing on to Florence and Rome.
The apartment was quiet, comfortable, and cozy, perfect for just the two of us. We loved using the bikes to ride into Lucca and around town everyday to shop or get groceries or a bite to eat. The only issue we had during our stay was some trouble connecting to the wifi, but Debora came immediately to fix it. We had a wonderful time in Lucca, and after continuing on to Florence, Pisa, and Rome, we wished we would have saved Lucca for last! Debora was a very accomodating host, and a pleasure to rent from. She responded to all questions and emails quickly, made the process easy, and checked in with us via email during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. She seems to genuinely care about her guests, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone planning a stay in Lucca. We can't wait to come back!

Ghiselli was a great place to stay. We found it pleasantly quiet and restful, yet close enough for a stroll into Lucca or a quick cycle ride. Although close to the station Debora was kind enough to collect us on arrival and drive us to the property and was most helpful from first contact some months ago until the end of our holiday. We took full advantage of the tours arranged by Maria and met small groups of visitors from America, Austalia and Canada on our tour of Lucca and trips to Siena and the Cinque Terre; this again, was great sevice. I would have no problem in recommending Ghisseli and Debora of Lucca Holidays as a great way of visiting the area.

Great location outside the wall was able to spread out for a week but no time to relax as we wanted to soak in all the area.Debora the Manager very procative with fixing small issues and helpfull 100%. Bonus was the bikes which we made good use of and easy to get to food shopping and the train. Would have no problem with suggesting you stay there.
Maybe we will go back again some day and have a good rest there.

This delightful apartment is ideally situated for your stay in Lucca. It is well equipped and the garden is great for a meal or relaxing outdoors after a hectic day in Lucca shopping or sightseeing. Use the cycles to explore the walled city, the surrounding countryside and shopping locally for food and coffee. It is only a few minutes away from the station which is central for day trips to other interesting areas.

We stayed in this delightful apartment for a week and could not have been more pleased with it. It's safe, clean, spacious and well kept and is equipped with everything you need while staying there. It is in an ideal location for reaching Pisa and Florence as its only 5 mins from the train station. It's also only 5 mins from the centre of Lucca and is well served with supermarkets and restaurants The bikes are an excellent addition and we used them everyday for getting about. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking to visit the area.

A very convenient base for exploring Tuscany and the lovely coastal towns north of Viareggio!
The apartment is large, sunny, very well equipped and well located for the boring parts of a holiday - going to the supermarket etc - not to mention convenient to all the delights of the city and countryside. It may even be better to stay just outside the wall, as Ghiselli is, rather than inside.
The private garden is another bonus of this ground-floor apartment.
Debora ensured that we had all that we needed, including internet access, and even provided one or two items above and beyond our expectations.
We were very happy here for 10 days and felt very much at home.

The Ghiselli apartment is cosy and comfortable, there simply is everything you may need in a household. Furthermore it is very relaxing to have a nice garden.
The bikes made our lives easy - in some minutes you were at the railway station and in a few more inside the walls of the charming old town. The train connections to Firenze and Pisa were excellent. For more discoveries in Tuscany it was easy to rent a car - the private car parking made it even more easy.
The music life of Lucca is amazing and was highly appreciated by us.
All the valuable information and assistance given by Debora made our stay in Lucca nice, easy and unforgettable.

Ghiseli is a very well equipped apartment in an excellent location. Everythng you could want was there. Private car parking was a bonus and the bicycles supplied were invaluable We were able to cycle to the station in 5 mins and to the town in 10. Ideally situated to see Lucca and surounding areas. The train links to Pisa (30 Mins) and Florence (90 Mins)were both efficient and good value. All of this together with the personal service from Debora made our holiday complete.
