Torcigliano is a tiny hamlet with a church, its bells and just dew houses. Not a proper village but a small set of houses perched around a church, one next to the other one. The road ends here so you are offered anything else but silence, peace and quietness. Like in a novel, here it sreally eems that time has really stopped. On the other side you are not isolated at all. You have “neigbours” and being the area really loved is plenty of holiday homes and you’ll never feel yourself “lost”. Torcigliano is only 4 km away from the main road in San Martino Freddana – Monsagrati where you find supermarket, bar, petrol station and a couple of pizzerias/restaurant a bank – it is 13/14 km away from Lucca's walls (north side) - It is located is along the way the seaside towards Camaiore, Lido di Camaiore, Pietrasanta where you can drive to in less than 30 minutes. Also very well positioned on the hill it gets a lot of sunshine especially at the sunset! Overlooking west it gets always a nice breeze in the summer and some more degrees in the winter.

- Downhill, toward Lucca the closest Village is San Martino in Freddana 4km away (supermarket, bar, petrol station, bank, a couple of pizzeria ) and also a couple of km away there Monsagrati where other restaurants and ameneties area.

- Uphill, toward north you get to Loppeglia in 4,2 km which is another tiny hamlet with a restaurant and few minutes further way there is Fiano with the famous Valentino restautant.

The house is part of a large stone built casolare, is free on three sides (east, south and west) and it has a private and well exposed garden. It is terraced, in part paved, in part grass and in part olive oil trees. The rest is wood. The garden is very pleasant and livable with a covered patio, a sunny terrace and - on a lower level - a stone bulit bbq and wood oven corner with a pergola. The external is not huge which means easy to be maintened (at present there is no pool but may be the space and possibility to build it). Some meters away from the house a large wood belongs to the property. The garden is completely secluded, has an automatic gate where you can park two cars. Possibility to enlarge the parking. Otherwise next to the Church, say 10 meters away there is a public parking for some cars. The olive groves (about 70 olive oil trees in production)

The house is typically uneven and offers three different levels: a ground floor room with a full bathroom (with shower) - which now is a summer kitchen and open the large covered patio overlooking the west sunny terrace to enjoy beautiful sunsets and dinner al fresco. From here you walk around the house, few steps and you have the main enrance on the on the first floor. The first floor is composed of a living room with a working fireplace then some steps to the right leads you to the kitchen (in muratura) and to the separate dining room. the dining room is open onto a small charming balcony overlooking the olive grove Both from the dining and the living you can go upstairs to the main night area where is a double bedroom, a bathroom with a tub and a large single bedroom. The whole upper floor is air conditioned. From the living room you have another stair which lead down to the laundry room, another full bathroom and a large cellar (open onto the garden).

As all our real originial and autentic country houses details are rustic so you have original cotto floors, original wooden beams, not high cealings and small winodws. Stone walls.

Maintenace Condition: Very good. No need restoration works. Maybe only a refresh to adjust rooms to your taste. I may suggest to white beamed celings to get more light.
