Update - Today 25 Septemebr 2018
La Casa di Federica has just been rented on a Long-Term. I will let you know as soon as it becomes availabel again!

La Casa di Federica is a nice, modern and colored apartment. It lies on the second floor of a recently restored building located in the west side of Lucca historic centre, right in front of the city's walls. There is an elevator from the street to the apartment - having an elevator in a historic centre is very unusual..... a luxury to be in a medioevel town!

The apartment measures about 70 squared meters. It is very bright, modern furnished and comfortable.

It consists of an entrance hall, a fully-equipped kitchenette, a dining area and sitting area with a leather large sofa; the night area consist of a large double bedroom (with a queen sized bed), a smaller bedroom (with one or two single beds) and a black marble bathroom with walk-in shower. Both the bedrooms comes with large wardrobe. There is also a private, upstairs laundry room with washer and dryer.
The apartment has a lot of light from big windows and it is really very bright - Floors are light wooden parquet (and marble in the bathroom).
Very good quality furniture to offer you a very comfortable stay.

Simple, essential and very functional in its simplicity. I love this place!

The apartment comes with dish-washer, washing machine, dryer and wi-fi internet connection. Also, It is fully air conditioned and centrally heated.

We have just returned from spending a wonderful week at the Federica apartment. The apartment is in an ideal location next to the walls and within easy walking distance of restaurants, bike hire and shops. The apartment has everything you could need for a comfortable stay, being bright and modern and was ideal for our family of 2 adults and 2 children.
This is the second time we have used Lucca holiday homes and we can not thank Debora and her team enough for all the help and care they have taken to ensure we had a memorable holiday. Debora sent us lots of useful information before our stay recommending places to eat and things to see and do and was able to organise tours, wine tastings and transfers and lots more if needed. The personal care and attention taken when our flight home was delayed by 6 hours was much appreciated. I would recommend using Lucca holiday homes without hesitation and look forward to returning to Lucca with them.

A very bright modern appartment well located and convenient for all amenities. Debora and her team at Lucca Holiday Homes are first class and we have now used their services for our third stay in Lucca. The weather was very hot during our stay which meant that the air conditioning was a necessary part of the appartment's facilities.

We were looking for an apartment for the month of October and contacted Debora-Holiday Homes. Debora was able to find this wonderful apartment for us. She answered all questions by E-Mail promptly before our stay and also during our stay and helped us with all transfers, set up Internet, helped getting our friends luggage from the airport.
Our friends stayed with us the first week and there was plenty of room. I used the elevator and my wife walked up the stairs (44 steps). I can't thank Debora enough for all her help and will stay here for our return visit. Thanks again to Debora, Maria, Federica and Eleanor.

Absolutely perfect. Great location, great apartment, and fantastic service from Debora Del Sonno. My wife and I came to Lucca after spending nine busy days and nights in Rome and Florence, and found five nights of wonderful living with Debora's help in this fine city. The apartment, in a corner of Lucca inside the wall, is nestled against one of the causeways leading to the top of the wall, and is just a short, easy, fun walk to the very heart of the city. It was sparkling clean, with a good kitchen, a dining area, a sitting area, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment, and noise from one doesn't seem to reach the other. The lack of air conditioning was of zero consequence: the apartment stayed cool and quiet throughout our stay. The excellent wifi and the laundry room one flight up were bonuses.
The real star was Debora, who met us at the apartment with keys and information, and patiently walked us through the use of the washing machine and dryer and the stove. She also provided us with her book on things to do and see around Lucca, which we used every day. Her recommendations for best gelato, best bicycle rentals, best place to buy groceries (including a section on where to buy groceries on Sundays) and other travel-friendly recommendations, were fantastic. This was a real treat, and the places recommended were excellent. (Debora's choice for the best gelato outside the walls was fun: we stopped there twice, and the owner was unaware that her shop had been on Debora's list; the bicycle shop allowed us to rent bikes and keep them overnight so we could use them early the next morning.)
We loved Rome, and we loved Florence, but we really fell in love with Lucca. I now understand why many travel writers speak so highly of the city; we found ourselves just walking or bicycling through the city, or using it as a jump off point for the Cinque Terra and Pisa, and there are historic buildings and sights we never got around to seeing. Big parts of our enjoyment of Lucca were the fantastic accommodations and the wonderful help we received from Debora. We cannot recommend this apartment highly enough, or the service, and the price was a bargain.
I suspect we will try in the future to return to Lucca, and Debora will be our first call. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did. This place was recommended to us by a friend in Nashville, Tennessee, where we live, and Debora is welcome to give my contact information to anyone wanting to follow up on this comment for more information or a "live" report.
